Executive Chef, Jeremy Hemen


Gardening and cooking was ever present in Chef Jeremy Hemen’s life. Growing up in the outskirts of Cherokee, AL, Chef Hemen anchored his palate with the garden fresh flavors of home grown, fresh seasonal ingredients. Every day of his young life, his parents would prepare meals using whatever was available on the farm at that time including heirloom produce, chickens, cattle, & pigs. From an early age, Chef Hemen learned the importance of using locally sourced, fresh ingredients.

Chef Hemen’s early passion for food led to a career in the culinary field with stents in some of the most prestigious locations in the Eastern United States. Chef Hemen landed in East Tennessee in 2008, working for five years at Blackberry Farm, a Relais & Chateaux property, to hone his culinary skills then came to the Park Vista in late 2017 after serving as the Executive Sous Chef at The Lodge at Buckberry Creek and the Chef de Cuisine at the DreamMore Resort.

Chef Hemen and his team are currently undergoing a menu change that will be inspired by his Southern roots, using locally obtainable & sustainable ingredients to create Appalachian style cuisine at the Park Vista.
